LANGUAGE AND CULTURE IMMERSION PROGRAM
A comprehensive curriculum that incorporates three important areas of immersion education:LANGUAGE - Learn Spanish with a focus on acquiring and mastering conversational skills.
CULTURE - Take an in-depth look at modern and historic Costa Rican customs and traditions.
ENVIRONMENT - Explore regions with diverse geography, climate, and natural resources. Study the flora and fauna in rainforests, volcanoes, waterfalls and coffee plantations in the mountains, and the coast.
Activities Include:
- Three hours of daily Spanish class
- Exploration of Volcano Poas
- National Culture Museum and National Theater of Costa Rica
- Meet a Mentor Program & Community Service Project
- Latin Dance & Costa Rica Cooking Classes
- Organic Coffee and Hydroponic Lettuce Farms
- Weekly cross-cultural conversation with Costa Rican students
